Tanzania 2013

Director: Anaeli Kihunrwa

Taking on a popular Swahili Idiom, “Mchumia Juani, Hulia Kivulini”, this is an educational short story about two groundnuts farmers – a wise Kobe (tortoise) and an extremely lazy Sungura (rabbit). Somehow, these two heavily contrasting characters end up living as neighbours in an abandoned cave near fertile farming soils. When Sungura recklessly consumes whole stock of groundnuts including next season seeds, he is forced to confront a wise Kobe for support. However, Kobe has a different plans.
