The campaign to prevent and address violence against children recognizes the need to provide better protection for Zanzibar children from violence at home, in school and in the community—violence that all too often goes unnoticed. It is an important example of co-operation between international organizations and civil society as well as the wide-ranging role played by the Revolutionary Government of Zanzibar.
