The Tanzania Media Fund has once again sponsored an Arts Journalism workshop for Tanzanian journalists for the second time this year. The 4 days workshop was undertaken in Arusha Tanzania under the management of the Zanzibar International Film Festival. Three trainers including Prof Martin Mhando of Miurdoch University, Dr Vicensia Shule of the University of Dares salaam and Dr Akpor Otebele of Arcadia University conducted the workshop to 10 journalists from diverse media houses in Tanzania.

The Workshop utilised a living environment of the Arusha African Film festival for practice. The Arusha African Film Festival is an annual international African Film Festival held in Arusha, Tanzania. It showcases narratives and aesthetics of Africa on film. Open to all. All genres of features, shorts, documentaries, music videos, and student films accepted. It serves as a platform for the understanding of Africa through film by the exhibition, distribution and archival of films about Africa.

The workshop took place between 27 and 30th November 2013.
