After a hugely successful 9 days of ZIFF 2014 with nearly 40 filmmakers from over 12 countries in attendance, Festival Director Martin Mhando has announced the dates and themes for ZIFF 2015.
ZIFF 2015 will take place from the 18th – 26th of July 2015 with the theme:

Waves and Visions of Hope

Mawimbi na Njozi za Tumaini

To those of us who live by the sea and oceans, the waves mean more that simply curling waters. They denote sounds of a permanent presence, of expected arrivals and anticipated departures. Waves welcome visions of a depth terrifying and a lightness beckoning but more still they propose hope in its glorious and abject abstraction. To filmmakers this imagery is an embrace of their creativity as those sounds, designs, images and movements are the bedrock upon which their art is formed. The 2015 theme is a call to deeper introspection, to collaboration with those with whom we hear the call and to that enchanted time and space. Let’s go forth and be creative. See you in 2015

In the months building up to ZIFF 2015 there will be announcements on film submission and selection, travel packages and other updates. To submit your film for 2015, please visit www.ziff.or.tz where details on the call to entry will be made in the next few weeks. ZIFF would once again like to take this opportunity to thank our sponsors, primarily ZUKU, whose ten-year commitment will see them partnering with ZIFF through 2021.
