Maramaso is a feature-length documentary following young musician Mandela, and his band Sarabi, as they struggle to promote peace ahead of the hotly contested 2013 Kenyan presidential election. The name “Maramaso” is derived from the philosophy’s end goal, a “Man Raise Man Society” in which support for fellow man and youth empowerment are more important than personal gain.
