A widow has a family to keep together after her husband- Norman- mysteriously passes on, leaving 4 children- 2 girls and 2 boys. MORRIS the last born- a boy- dies in a motorbike accident ridden by his elder brother- GEORGES. Georges survives and the guilt haunts him constantly. The issue of his Father’s death created a wedge between him on one side- and his Mother and Sisters on the other. His Mother is a control freak- and constantly tries to get a ‘suitable’ wife for him. His Elder Sister- Magdalene- has separated from her husband and now lives in the homestead with her 9-year-old son. The other Sister- Caro- is still single and lives in the same homestead with her 12-year-old daughter. Bridget looks after her grandchildren and dotes on them- as does Georges. They must in the end still hold as a family, that was the dream of their father the late Norman which unfortunately is the only thing Bridget inherited as after the burial his family took all his possessions and left Bridget a mother of four with nothing but a family legacy to keep….Will she? Can she? Bridget is caught in a spiral of misplaced love, betrayal, the need for money and the selfishness that is the human spirit in the midst of a family that struggles to survive, while at the same time doing the exact opposite- tearing itself from within.
