Media Leb

In partnership with the children and broadcasting foundation for Africa (CBFA), we will have a year-round media lab for schools, learners and youth. The Media Lab will be an introduction to Media Literacy. The young people will produce their own short films on different themes and will host the film festivals within ZIFF.

This will form part of the children’s panorama and will create an opportunity for learners to engage with film, media tools, and animation.

YOUNG VOICE

Ensuring that children and youth are also included within the main festival programme, we will continue to host our children’s panorama, which will bring global children’s content to the Zanzibar screen. As part of our media literacy training, we will also begin to provide training in film selection and curation, teaching young people what qualities to look for in a film, and curation methods to bring it to the best possible audience. There will be space both within the main ZIFF programme and throughout the year for young people to select films that they want to see on screen.
